Nile nini ili nipunguze hatari ya kupata magonjwa ya moyo na shinikizo la damu (hypertension)?

Vyakula vingi ambavyo vimekua vikipendwa na watu wengi katika jamii vimepelekea kuwaweka watumiaji katika hatari ya kupata magonjwa ya moyo na mishipa ya damu.

Vyakula ambavyo ni salama kutumia ni jamii ya mimea kama mboga za majani na matunda (kama vile matikiti,matango,ndizi,parachichi, nanasi, machungwa na mafenesi).
Pia, ulaji wa nafaka zisizokobolewa, vyakula jamii ya mikunde kama maharage, samaki, maziwa yenyewe na mazao yake kama maziwa mgando( yogurt), mafuta ya nazi na mayai vinachangia kwa kiasi kikubwa kupunguza uwezekano wa kupata magonjwa ya moyo na shinikizo la damu.

Inashauriwa kutotumia vyakula vyenye mafuta kwa wingi kama nyama nyekundu (mfano nyama ya ng’ombe), na kupunguza ulaji wa vyakula vyenye chumvi kwa sana.
